Welcome to the Wild Understory
The Wild Understory is private community with one purpose- to provide a safe place for all marginalized communities to get help with their businesses from myself other small business owners. But more than that, it will grow into a place where we can share gardening ideas, easy and cheap recipes, etc – anything that makes running a business easier and more joyful.
Can you join if you are not a business owner? Absolutely! All are welcome, so long as you treat others with kindness and respect and want to help build our community. Any hate speech or unkindness will be met with immediate removal.
The reason for building a private community is simple- as the owner, I want complete and utter control over my platform. In the event that someone were to demand I turn over info, I would immediately delete the site. I am, and I know, too many at risk in this current climate and will do everything to protect those I care about.
Who am I? My name is Carey and I’ve spent the last 10 years as a small business coach and 20 years as a small business owner. I worked for five years under a course creator helping 100s of students build their businesses, fix and build their websites, provide moral support, and so much more. When that closed down, I moved to private consulting and website building under Mosswild Creative. But I’ve missed the communities I helped cultivate there- and so after tons of research, was finally able to build The Wild Understory.
